Yin-Yang (gold plated) – (ID: sg17a)
The Yin-Yang Symbol, also known as the Taijitu, dates back to ancient China, & has come to represent the belief that everything in the universe consists of 2 opposing forces that are also complementary. Two halves that together represent wholeness, & in themselves are unchanging & complete. Both halves chasing after each other as they seek a new balance with each other.
The Yin-Yang Symbol shows a balance between two opposites with a portion of the opposite element in each section. It is the concept of duality forming a whole, & can be thought of as forces that interact to form a dynamic system in which the whole is greater than the assembled parts.
Examples of Yin and Yang are encountered in everyday life; such as: night (Yin) & day (Yang), female (Yin) & male (Yang), negative (Yin) & positive (Yang).
