Metaphysical Properties:
Black Obsidian is a distinctive stone, which helps to protect the very sensitive against depression. It is the stone of the soft hearted & gentle people of the world. Use obsidian to help block negativity of any kind. As a black gemstone, it symbolizes self-control and resilience. Black stones have protective energies in the sense that black is the absence of light, & therefore, can be used to create invisibility.

The Pumpkin is considered a symbol of protection, it is believed that they help ward off evil spirits, protecting the home and those within.  A Carved Pumpkin, with a lit candle inside, is traditionally placed on the doorstep to help protect the home from wandering spirits on All Hallows' Eve.
